Sam graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020 with a first class honours BA in Natural Sciences, during which he specialised in microbiology and virology. He then completed an MRes degree in Drug Design at University College London, where his research focused on the role of the NRP1 protein in SARS-CoV-2 infectivity.
Sam joined Sagittarius IP in 2021 and qualified as a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2025. Sam holds the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London and is based in our London office.
Sam’s practice includes patent drafting, freedom to operate analysis, and European and international prosecution. His subject matter specialisms are diverse and include anti-infectives, formulation of small and large molecules, antibody-drug conjugates, and therapeutic proteins and peptides. Sam works with a wide range of clients and currently spends some of his time on secondment with a fast-growing biotech company where he has already gained valuable experience of working in-house.
