Ellen graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2018 with a BA in Natural Sciences, with a focus on Biological Sciences. In her final year she studied immunology, cancer and genetic diseases. She then stayed within the Department of Pathology at Cambridge to conduct research for an MPhil on the variability of the TAP proteins within chickens and the impact on peptide presentation by MHC class I molecules, presenting her research at an international conference.

Ellen joined Sagittarius IP in 2020 and qualified as a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2023. She is based in our London office and works on a variety of cases within the biotechnology field. She holds the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London. She is based in our London office.

Ellen works on a variety of cases within the biotechnology and life sciences fields. Her specialist subject matters include antibody technology, T cell receptors, vaccines, therapeutic proteins and peptides, and nucleic acid work including gene therapy. She has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Europe and internationally, working with both small firms and large biotech companies. She particularly enjoys conducting freedom to operate and patentability analysis, as well as sequence analysis work.
