Charity
We believe in supporting organisations that our employees deeply care about. Our giving is managed through an Employee-Selected Company Donation scheme.
- Annual Selection: Every employee is invited to designate a charity to receive a company-funded donation during the financial year.
- Matching Policy: To recognise and extend our team’s charitable impact, Sagittarius IP will match any personal donation made by an employee to their nominated charity up to a defined annual cap. This system ensures resources are increased for causes that resonate with our team.
Diversity & Inclusion
We subscribe to the IP Inclusive Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Charter – a voluntary code of practice for IP professionals to demonstrate their commitment to greater diversity and inclusion. Signing up to the charter is one way of confirming our commitment to a more diverse and inclusive IP sector and to equal opportunities for all who work in it.
We have committed to supporting equality, diversity and inclusion by:
- Having in place a named individual within our organisation as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer. This person is sufficiently senior to make change happen and to be accountable for progress.
- Having in place a written Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and ensuring that everybody in the organisation is aware of it’s contents.
- Promoting openness and transparency so as to demonstrate merit-based equal opportunities in our recruitment and career progression processes.
- Acknowledging the effects of unconscious bias and introducing measures to tackle it.
- Monitoring and reporting internally on our progress using measures, and at intervals, that are appropriate to our size and nature.
- Sharing our experience within the IP Inclusive community to help build an effective network for equality, diversity and inclusion across the IP sector.
We are also part of the ‘Summer of IP Initiative’; an outreach campaign aimed at raising awareness of IP-related careers.
Summer of IP is an outreach campaign led by Careers in Ideas. Its purpose is to raise awareness of, and improve, access to IP-related careers. The campaign includes events and resources designed to raise awareness about IP generally and the careers available.
